Steve Lilley - Alto Sax with the Borders Big Band, Galashiels says, "The Borders Big Band is a dance band based in the Scottish Borders which performs Big Band classics from the swing era of the 30's, 40's and 50's at charity dances and concerts. Allan has been singing with the band for almost three years now , and I know I speak for the whole band when I say that he is a valuable asset, and adds a lot to the bands repertoire with his stylish performances of the great big band numbers from days gone by. Allan oozes confidence, puts his own stamp on the songs and is a pleasure to play along with. We look forward to him being a part of the band for many years to come."

Sims MBE - "On Saturday January 19th 2008 A group of Woodlands Travel Club passengers visited the Sun Beach Hotel to see and hear Allan Day perform.We had heard about his professional star quality act but it surpassed anything we expected. He told his audience "he was not an impersonator" and he certainly WAS NOT with his choice of songs, individual style and interpretation. He did not need to try to impersonate anyone. The group I was with were staying at one of the biggest hotels in Playa Blanca that provided onstage entertainment every night. We all thought that Allan Day should have been on stage at our hotel at least once a week. We will be returning to Lanzarote again and will certainly find out where Allan Day is appearing at before we make our resort choice. Thank you Allan for your pleasant evenings entertainment. You were the talking point of our holiday."

He is a great singer and a lovely person - he sang "Annies Song" for us which he had never done before and he was great - as good as Neil Diamond!
